Bobby Gets a Skin Graft- Under Construction!
Designed for use by children in the Preadmission Clinic or waiting room, the Bobby Skin Graft story readies the child for the general procedure of having a skin graft. The story enables the child to see Bobby having an explanation of what a skin graft will be in simple terms from Doctor Dan. It details the general nature of the graft and helps to educate the child about the process of having a skin graft, what he/she will need to do on the day, and how he/she might feel after the operation. While having fun getting to know Bobby, his mum, Nurse Marie and Doctor Dan, the child will be able to see Bobby ask questions that many children have about surgical procedures, whilst still having the fun of being able to look around the 3D scene.Bobby Gets an MRI- Under Construction!
Designed for use by children in the Medical Imaging waiting room, the Bobby MRI stories ready the child for the standard procedure of having an MRI, by choosing either Bobby MRI Head/Abdomen, or Bobby MRI Arm/Leg. The story enables the child to see Bobby having an MRI for the part of the body, that relates to them, tailoring the message specifically for them. We have also customised the MRI stories to include insertion of an IV during the procedure, so that the clinician may choose the MRI story specific to the part of the body, as well as with or without IV insertion. While having fun getting to know Bobby, his mum, the Nurse, Doctor and Radiographer, the child will be asked to find certain objects in order for the story to continue. The camera angle can be rotated and swivelled 360 degrees around the scene simply by tipping and turning the DITTO Portable Console. When the child has found the required item, they press it on the touch screen. When all the objects have been located, a reward movie will play. Each scene shows Bobby at a different stage of his MRI visit including the sounds he will hear, helping the child to understand what happens during the procedure.Bobby Gets an X-Ray- Under Construction!
Designed for use by children in the Medical Imaging waiting room, the Bobby X-Ray stories ready the child for the standard procedure of having an x-ray, by choosing either Bobby X-Ray Arm, Leg or Chest. This enables the child to see Bobby having an x-ray for the part of the body that relates to them, tailoring the message specifically for them. While having fun getting to know Bobby, his mum and the radiographer, the child will be asked to find certain objects in order for the story to continue. The camera angle can be rotated and swivelled 360 degrees around the scene simply by tipping and turning the DITTO Portable Console. When the child has found the required item, they press it on the touch screen. When all the objects have been located, a reward movie will play. Each scene shows Bobby at a different stage of his X-Ray visit, helping the child to understand what happens.Bobby Gets a Garment Measured- Under Construction!
Designed for use by children in the Outpatient waiting room, the Bobby Garment Measure and Application story readies the child for the standard procedure of having a garment measured to treat burn injuries. While having fun getting to know Bobby, his mum and therapist Sally, the child will be asked to find certain objects in order for the story in continue. The camera angle can be rotated and swivelled 360 degrees around the scene simply by tipping and turning the DITTO Portable Console. When the child has found the required item, they press it on the touch screen. When all the objects have been located, a reward movie will play. Each scene shows Bobby at a different stage of his garment measuring and then his return visit to have his first garment applied. Bobby is able to ask many questions along the way, which helps the child to understand why he/she must wear a garment and the special care that he/she must take when wearing it.
